Totally awesome shades dudette
Tanning and relaxingWell, Farrah had to be admitted to Memorial Hospital for 2 days because of her high levels of bilirubin. The high levels causes Jaundice and her level was at 18 and went all the way down to 10, so the Hospital discharged us. So now Farrah spends about 10 minutes in indirect sunlight with only her diaper on to help the jaundice go away. The sad part about being in the hospital was that Wes and I were not allowed to take her out from under the phototherapy lights. So when she cried we tried our best to comfort her by touching her arms or her back and talking softly to her.
I hated when the nurses had to put an IV in her little hand. Farrah cried so much and was so loud that I started to cry as well. I hate knowing she is going through anything painful. Wes seemed to handle things pretty well until Farrah cried for about an hour straight. He was so frustrated that he couldn't hold her to comfort her that he got upset and left the room to go walk off his frustrations.
Well, now we are back at home and everything is going well. She still has little bruises from her IV and her yellow tint has pretty much gone away. She is still as cute and precious as can be. I can't stop holding her and kissing her tiny little hands and feet and touching her cute soft face. Wes walks around the house with her in his Baby Bjorn, a back pack for holding babies. She has become a milk monger. She started out drinking only 2 ounces every couple hours and now she has worked her way up to 4 ounces. She is growing so fast. She has already started bouncing on her little legs when we hold her and when she is done feeding and waiting to be burped, she puts both arms up in the air. I love every moment with her.

I know how you feel. My first baby had to go right back in the hospital with a staff infection and was in an incubator for a week. We couldn't hold him, he had IVs in his head, I felt helpless. Thank goodness you have Farrah back home now. I'm thinking of you! Diana
