Yeah!!! Farrah Mai Fiona Agee has finally arrived!!! We are soo excited and overwhelmed. We went in tuesday morning for a regular checkup. I had been dilated for 1 cm for the past two weeks, and I was hoping to have progressed. Well, the doctor checked and told me I was about 2 1/2 cm dilated and to go walking and come back around 4pm for another checkup. Of course I went straight to the gym with my husband, walked for two hours on the treadmill and then went home got cleaned up and went back to the doctor.
Well, we were certainly in for a surprise when we got to the doctor's. As soon as he checked me, my water broke scaring my husband and making my doctor jump back in surprise. He immediately sent me to the birthing center where I would be in labor for the next 17 1/2 -18 hours. So, from tuesday at 4:35pm to wednesday at 5am I was 3 cm and feeling strong contractions. Finally around 5:30am I decided for the epidural because I couldn't stop shaking from the pain. From 5:30am to 9am I had finally dilated to 10 cm and was ready to push. However, the epidural made my entire left side as dead as a log and my right side was wide awake and ready to go. Although I didn't feel any real pain, my husband said he felt it for me. How sweet. He coached me through the entire birth and was absolutely wonderful and still is. He is so helpful around the house and my mother has been here helping out the past few days. Thanks to everyone who came by and visited us while we were in the hospital. WE appreciate all the hugs and kisses, prayers and smiles.
