I'm currently seven months pregnant, and my little baby Farrah is kicking like crazy. I recently was teaching my sixth graders when I almost keeled over because Farrah kicked me soo hard. Whenever I lay down to just sit and watch TV or eat, she starts kicking more. I have a feeling I'll be running around alot when she gets here and her feet are ready to move:) Wes has felt her kick several times and is amazed at the strength of her little legs and feet.
I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, but since I've been on a strict diet and checking my blood four times a day, my numbers have been very low, usually under 100, and I'm always hungry. Who knows. We think it's just another way to get money from us because I can eat rather large meals and have a couple of desserts and my blood level is still 100 or under. I'm supposed to call if it's over 130, but so far nothing close to that number.
On a side note, not a happy one either, my school district has decided to let me go due to the budget cuts it is facing. I started my week with my birthday, on Wed got the bad news of being laid off, and on Friday got to help break up a fight and was asked by students why I was getting laid off. Funny, I have no idea how so many students know. Anyway, I didn't answer them and I don't like to lie to them either, but I thought it was inappropriate that they even overheard other teachers talking about and are now telling everyone. I just keep reminding myself that God has another plan for me and not to worry, he'll take good care of me. Since getting the news, my wonderful husband has been working non stop to help provide for us. He is taking whatever overtime he can and helping me out soo much at home. I love my husband. I think he is the best provider I could have asked for.
