I spent a great July 4th with some close frineds of mine. We ate bbq, lit fireworks and watched fireworks from the Bakersfield Country Club and BC stadium. The saddest part of the night was getting a phone call from my husband. He is currently fighting the fire in Lake Isabella, and he will be there until the end of July. After that, he is being transferred over to Malibu, or some other fire in southern california and he won't be home until the middle of August. Hopfully all the firefighters will be able to contain and stop the spread of the fires, so that they can all return home to their loved ones.
Just praying for a safe return for all the men and women fighting these fires, and for my husband to come home safe and soon.

I'm sorry you have to be separated from your sweetheart for so long. Your hubby is a hero in my book along with all the other firemen!I'm only a few blocks away if you need to talk or just get out of the house. Love you! Di
